Risk of external program visibility to Banks

Hey all,

I’m an incoming IB Summer Analyst at a BB/EB/MM and was recently admitted to a PE insight / training programme run by a third-party, non-bank organisation (think industry talent development platform - educational / recruiter) taking place shortly before the Summer.

Two quick questions:

  1. Do banks ever get visibility on participation in these programmes (HR / team), especially if the organisation collaborates closely with the bank and acts as a partial pipeline (from their IB programme) - or are they generally treated as standalone as long as you don’t publicise it?
  2. More broadly, how are PE internships between the SA and FT start perceived by IB teams? Any risk of being seen as a flight risk or treated differently as a new analyst?

Appreciate any insight.
