Risk of external program visibility to Banks
Hey all,
I’m an incoming IB Summer Analyst at a BB/EB/MM and was recently admitted to a PE insight / training programme run by a third-party, non-bank organisation (think industry talent development platform - educational / recruiter) taking place shortly before the Summer.
Two quick questions:
- Do banks ever get visibility on participation in these programmes (HR / team), especially if the organisation collaborates closely with the bank and acts as a partial pipeline (from their IB programme) - or are they generally treated as standalone as long as you don’t publicise it?
- More broadly, how are PE internships between the SA and FT start perceived by IB teams? Any risk of being seen as a flight risk or treated differently as a new analyst?
Appreciate any insight.
