Role Breakdown for Securitization/Structured Finance/Securitized Products Group
Could break down the differences between all the roles on a Structured Finance/Securitization/Securitized Products Group team? It seems like it varies a lot, as sometimes it involves IBD vs. S&T.
I'm curious about what the different roles, such as Originator, Structurer, Quant, and others entail. In particular, do Originators come up with the products or find clients for them? Additionally, how does the recruiting process or candidate pool differ across these roles?
For context, I think a post explaining it all would be helpful. However, in my particular case, I'm currently applying for MFE programs, and the role of the top commenter (Origination?) in this reddit post sounds very interesting to me.
Quis iste facilis quos est. Ut eos quaerat asperiores ad magni. Perspiciatis tempora modi error labore id qui. Voluptatem odit et velit iste.
