So my roommate and I will both be working in IBD at the same bulge bracket this summer. What are the odds? We found out a week apart and I dont think they know we're roommates.

I'm assuming you both just networked in the same alumni circle for recruiting. Under that context alone, your dual placement doesn't seem particularly improbable.
Furthermore, if you placed from a non-target, it's likely you are both outgoing and well-qualified candidates. Bright, type-A people like that tend to want to hang out with other people of that trait set, thus explaining not only your offers, but also why you might be roommates to begin with...

This isn't related to IB, but my roomate at my old school and I both left our room at the same time. He was going to get a Masters and ending up living in the graduate school dorms and I ended up transferring schools. I asked Housing and the lady said it was not that common for people to leave their rooms at the same time.
Guess its even more uncommon for two people to leave their room and also end up at the same job.

I called up my old roommate when I decided to go into finance because that is what he wanted from day one and is already at the buyside and I needed to learn how the system worked. I now know why he was so freaking tired all the time back in those days.
As long as you aren't dating, you should be fine. Are you two dating? Honestly, even then, just keep it on the down low until the summer is over and you have full time offers in your hands.
