SA 27 getting cooked

semi target sophomore recruiting for IB.

Only had two interviews and failed both. Wtf do I do? I have one analyst internal referral who rlly fucks w me for MS and another analyst advocate but still haven’t received a R1. I connected with MD and he put me on his team for UBS and still no hirevue. Decent connection at BofA but no HV. Idk if it’s just slow or if i’m literally cooked. Any advice? I’m still sending networking emails and telling them I applied hoping to show that I am a worthy candidate during these coffee chats (not giving up but need advice!!!)

Thank you!

Morgan Stanley has already sent out all their first round invites. Unfortunately, just isn’t fair (this year in particular). Some of these places are HR driven as well and…you just need to be lucky.

IMO — get a job at another bank. Idk why all of you are obsessed with Goldman Stanley and the likes. There are plenty of opportunities to lateral into these firms full-time.
