SA and Off cycle - being upfront

Hi WSO

I'm starting my SA at a local BB office in Europe and will be doing an Off cycle right after. The SA is my priority, and if I was given a FT offer to start right away (or later of course as well) I would take it and would be happy to forego the off cycle.

The SA firm are aware of my off cycle after, so how do I best communicate to the team that I'd love to start with them right away for FT if given a return offer (instead of doing off cycle)? I feel this is a bit of an uncomfortable point to raise, given that the SA firm may feel I am not committed as I am doing an off cycle after, so thankful for any advice as to how to best approach the situation.

I d communicate it with your team during the summer especially if you r performing well + good midterm review. If they consider you as a good intern there is no way they will let you go

The SA firm clearly doesn’t have a problem with your OC given you’re still hired afteralll so don’t worry about it. I’d say keep your mind open you might not actually want to stay at the SA place even though you think you want to now.

I’d say wait till you have spent some time in the team and actually find a few points that differentiate your SA to your OC so in mid term when they ask how you finding your experience you can naturally bring up staying (wouldn’t push for starting immediately unless they ask)
