SA PCA to FT M&A/RX Feasible?
Wondering if it would be possible to have top PCA summer internships and then re-recruit full-time for M&A or even RX. Genuinely interested by the secondaries space but have no idea what it's going to be like, and somewhat doubtful on if secondaries space is gonna maintain high growth.
Best scenario
- do PCA summer internship
- then decide if I wanna return, or re-recruit for M&A/RX
- lateral to the firm's M&A/RX group for FT or maybe like a year or two after FT PCA
Problem
- would re-recruiting for M&A/RX be feasible after PCA junior summer (will try to add some PE / traditional IB in semester internships, might take gap)
- should I keep recruiting for M&A/coverage group for SA 2026, even though most top shops are done already
- what kind of M&A / coverage offer would be better than a top PCA offer? Would MM / low tier EB/BB be worth it?
Would be really grateful for any insights on this.
To add why I'm thinking I should keep recruiting - I think I've seen a lot of traditional IB to PCA moves but not that many the other way around. So assuming M&A to PCA is a lot easier?
I mean we put a man on the moon. Why not
how did u ended up
