SA Toronto Gig Postponed
My SA gig in Toronto was postponed until further notice. Don't know if other banks are following along, but I have been told that might be the case.

Do you know until when? I just completed my onboarding and background check for Big 5 Toronto SA and there was no mention of a delay or WFH (but I'm assuming one of those two options will be the case)

when you mean large non bb bank ... are you referring to an EB like evercore/Lazard or referring to a big 5 Canadian ?
My Big 5 SA is up in the air, hiring manager and HR ghosted me and I was in the middle of onboarding
IB ? I wouldn’t worry too much . I heard there were hiring freezes at the big 5 but I don’t think that there’s a problem with the incoming SA class

A recruiter for CIBC just publicly announced that they are committed to their summer interns and Scotia is paying for the full 4 months even if the start date is postponed
BMO announced they’re committed to keeping all interns. Pay starts May (no change) with mandatory virtual orientation, but training and work remotely starting June 1st. They’re going to reevaluate if interns can on-board into office for July.
Was it an email to interns or on LinkedIn? Because I couldn't find anything on Linkedin. The CIBC news was from a recruiter on LinkedIn and Scotia was email to interns
