Seeking Advice on Which Offer to Take
Hey fellas, I am choosing between 3 internship offers and I would like to maximize my chance of breaking in investment banking in London through relevant experiences.
For context, I am a senior enrolled at a top 3 Hong Kong university. I was recently accepted to Imperial and LSE and will likely commit to one of the two for my master's. I previously interned at a European private investment bank focusing on mid-market M&A transactions. I am currently working on an IPO listing with a Chinese bank. I am specifically targeting EBs with a strong presence in TMT or healthcare.
I have an offer from a leading local boutique investment bank but the role is more focused on business development (helping the MD to source healthcare deals, etc.). I was also extended offers from two buyside shops where I expect to get more hands-on training on modeling, building pitchbooks, and getting involved in technical analysis. One shop (a local PE fund) is more of a traditional PE place while the other one (a larger European VC fund) is mostly financing tech startups in the early phase of their corporate life cycles.
From the perspective of landing a job at an EB in London, which offer do you think is ideal for me to take? I am rather indifferent between healthcare and TMT in terms of industry preferences. Many thanks for all the kind help in advance.
