I have a phone screen process this upcoming weekend for SEO Career (Edge) for investment banking and wanted to know a bit more about what I should expect. Anyone know anything about the phone screen process? What type of questions should I expect? Just behavioral or technical or both?

I had a few technical questions, most were standard. It fully depends on who ur interviewer is
Phone Screen is pretty straightforward. It should be a focus of behaviorals and maybe 1-2 technicals.
A good number of people advance from the phone screen stage (which is to see if you can meet the basic threshold for what they are looking for in a candidate).
The office interview on the other hand...that is whole different discussion.
Is the IRA any different from the screening?
Yeah, the IRA has a larger emphasis on technicals. I went into my first IRA thinking it would be like the phone screen and was rather unprepared... Everything on the study guide is fair game for the IRA

They probably mean the Interview Readiness Assessment (IRA), a practice interview you do once you’re already in the program
Hmmm why are you guys bumping this year old thread lol. Program was pretty shit btw, didn't get any value from it, and it was horribly understaffed. They had a big fuck up on my profile for 4 months that was never resolved after 4 months of constant emails. I relied on my own effort to break in, they have changed the program a lot from what it used to be, it is no longer competitive and basically everyone gets in.
I don't agree with this. I've gotten many recruiters from SEO partners reach out for me for opportunities. I've also had exclusive SEO superdays. I would recommend the program. However, I can agree that they are very disorganized.
Maybe I got the shit end of the stick. I have a pretty strong profile and resume and got a perfect on their ira, but never got anything. I thought the modules and feedback were straight garbage, the people they hire as "coaches" are extremely clueless on recruiting or the industry in general.
How many interviews are there after the initial phone screen?
There’s only one interview to get into EDGE. If you’re admitted to the program, you can do as many mock interviews as you want to raise your interview readiness score. 6+ get admission to the program, they start promoting your resume and you get access to special events with employers when it’s 8+, and I believe the resumes are sorted by how high your score is so the higher the score, the better in terms of recruiting
Hey I recently did the screen and got a 10/10 on the edge screen. How long till I hear back to get into the program and what can I do to best position myself to get interviews at partner firms?

I did SEO EDGE’s IB track. The screen has a heavy focus on behavioral questions with a few technical questions. There are three factors you’re evaluated on: targeting (do you know what IB is and why do you want to go into it, do you know what SEO is and what makes you a good fit), branding (how well you present yourself professionally; walk them through your resume), and basic technicals (know key terms and the three main valuation methods).
Yeah the phone screen is lenient. However, the IRA is entirely dependent on your interviewer so expect lots of technicals-- asked the CAPM formula, WACC, valuations walk through a high level etc.
