seriously need advice guys

hey guys, to give you some perspective I am a 2nd year student studying economics and finance in italy (not bocconi) however a very good university the problem is in this city high finance roles are pretty much non existent its great city to live/study in etcc but when it comes to practicality it sucks, Now my plan is to move to canada eventually directly after my masters my plan is to do a masters in economics (I cant do a masters in finance/management since its very expensive for international students). The problem is that as a masters student my program will last for a year only so my time will be limited in order to secure something and most internships at bulge brackets require undergrads and people in their final 2 years to apply for internships (sophomore or junior) so for someone in my case what should I do to really increase my chances to land an offer. ps: I am not only interested in IB i would be happy to take any other front/back office role tbh. Right now I have secured a very small unpaid internship (finance related) plus i am the vice president in an schools investment club and did an insight series at goldman sachs (dont roast me mans gotta eat) so any advice is much appreciated
