Sex work as an outside business activity in IB

Just thinking how its only a matter of time before someone with an onlyfans gets an investment banking job and I was wondering how this might play out in the work place or if anyone has experienced this.

If you are more senior and a manager will you accept if one of your direct reports puts this on their U4? how do you think banks will adapt

I don’t think this would happen. You just want an excuse to hate on women

Lol no, I do not hate women and there are guys on onlyfans as well.

Unlikely… onlyfans seems like a low-commitment job but I’m pretty sure the ‘professional ones’ spend all day chatting to subscribers, selling personalised content, editing content, planning photo shoots…

If some dude has paid $50 to see you take your sock off they will soon loose interest if you are in the office all day and can’t do it until you have finished a pitch deck at 1am

Professionals pay people to manage their onlyfans. That includes uploading, editing, responding to DMs. There are literal fully fledged businesses set up to manage a portfolio of onlyfans models. Yes there are onlyfans pimps, welcome to the 21st century.

They also don't offer ad hoc requests for as little as $50. If anything they'll offer paywalled access to a collection of photos that probably fit a certain niche or are more explicit than what they normally post. People will pay for this, that way the actual model spends as little time as possible managing the account and taking new content.

Don't ask how I know this.

Some of my friends are on OF, but they don't work in IB. To be fair, they make more on there than any regular analyst job would pay.

I think while the scenario is possible, I don't think it's likely. At the end of the day, we may never find out... unless you use the services excessively and "run into someone" who works at the same office or something like that?

It is more likely an IB analyst would be on FeetFinder, because of the more anonymous type of content?

One friend from the UK started photos only, then eventually some light video content (FF action). She had a full-time job in an insurance company back then (semi-target degree qualified, permanent, office based, management track, the whole deal - clearly, she is smart and talented for the job). She always hooked up with guys, but never had a real/long-term relationship. She then had offers that went beyond just photos from men she really liked physically, and started selective escorting on the side (getting paid by men she selects herself). Her agent ultimately proposed a more stable career track and she is now in California. Quit her job, didn't tell her family, friends,.. and just left.

From what I was told it was about 200K GBP for some light work on the side (excluding brand/partnerships deals), the real work is marketing the account via social media. Some form of paid advertising is required as well and then there is the agency, and eventually a management team that looks after you as well. She was incorporated in the UK as Ltd. Co initially, then ran this through an LLC in US. Don't know which state she is incorporated in. She made six figures for her permanent office job in London before, so the money wasn't the issue here. She just likes this more than sitting in an office.

If people had the opportunity to become independent and sell their own photos/skills/knowledge - they would.

And before the people on here scream something sexist - men can do this also. There are plenty of guys on OF and the other platforms.

i am curious about the reputational issues. i think this might actually become fairly common to the point that banks will have to release statements etc If it goes out that someone in JPM or GS has an only fans where they are getting gangbanged (for the women) or reverse gangbanged (for the men) can they get fired for that? Will it hurt the banks or would it be seen as a good marketing strategy in like PWM.

Google Han Jo Kim and Regina Turner, he was a highly paid surgeon who found out his wife was secretly an escort so its possible that people from "prestigious" lives get into sex work so its only a matter of time before a VP or newly hired associate launches an onlyfans
