Curious to hear from Canadian interns who seem to have started their stint a few weeks ago
not IB but here's my 2 cents about virtual internship. Pretty ass way to get to know your cohort if they are more than like 8 people. Very weird dynamic since when you talk, everyone else is quiet and listen to you. This is fine for a group that already know each other somewhat(like friend or classmate group), but, in a new group, this feel less like a conversation and more like a presentation/public speaking.
For anyone that's done one or in the process of doing one, would it be worthwhile to reach out to the analysts in your group and introduce yourself to stand out? Or is that not necessary?
