What do shareholder advisory team specifically do? do they still work on deals? I never really heard of this group

There's a movie called Barbarians at the Gate, and there's a scene where they introduce a plain vanilla white guy from Skadden to be an advisor. Pay attention to what that guy's role is;you';ll be doing something very similar.

Comp is same as traditional IB, at camberview at least. Work is more focused on qualitative data analysis and incorporating that into marketing materials. For more quantitative work, things like modeling how different dividend payouts will affect the rest of the financials. Day to day varies whether you're staffed on a live campaign or not (sort of like deals), and each shareholder advisory shop has groups within it that cover different advisory topics.
any familiarity with PJT camberview STIR - any idea what exits look like for those guys?
