Should I ask interviewers about interests/free-time activities in interviews?

Bankers/S&Ters: do you like to be asked about what you do in your free time to destress? Thought it may be a good personal question to show interest but curious if it's actually advisable. Thank you!

I asked that question too and it isn’t bad but after being on the other side as an interviewer if I don’t have common interests/hobby it just gets awkward if an interviewee asks me cause it sort of ends up in a dead conversation.

Usually on the resume if I see interesting (or something I relate to) I’ll point it out at the end of the interview and talk about it briefly
