Should I disclose resume gaps (due to medical reasons) on CV, when applying for grad/ AN 1 positions?
As title - is it wise to disclose resume gaps of around a year/ 1.5 years due to medical reasons, or is it not really the norm? I had to take a year and a half off a few months after graduating, due to medical reasons - undergoing treatment, recovery and injury rehabilitation (am ok now), where I was basically sitting at home/ hospital, for the longer part. I started a 1-year masters LBS/Oxford - my school was kind enough to let me to do on a staggered schedule because of health issues, and will be returning back to school full-time, later this year for a few final classes. I am now in a place to be applying for graduate positions & off-cycle internships, but also some of the lone AN1 positions that basically are taking recent grads. My question is - do I disclose the glaring resume gap of 1.5 year, or should I just leave it like that? I was quite worried that HR might see this as a reason to think that I might dip off and leave the Analyst programme half-way through again/ cause increased insurance costs etc., - read similar things on internet forums, so am now very confused.....
Further context: I am in the UK and applying for UK/ EU roles. I do have 2 relevant internships in M&A/ IBD at BB, and a long-term investing internship with a european PE firm, that I did during the summers, as an undergrad, and when doing my Masters from home last year, did a research internship with my university's economics faculty - so I do have stuff to write on my CV - but the obviously because of the time frames, I am in a weird spot where the gap is kinda obvious and can't be explained off as being in full-time education or any other commitment. Recruiting is hard enough as it is, with extremely high competition these days (have been on the cycle and remember it all too well), and I don't want to give any reason for them to auto-ding me?
