Simple Question - Interning at a BB this summer

So this summer I will be interning at a BB, not in Investment banking but i figured this would be the best forum to ask this in because of all the traffic. Poker is a huge part of my life and I own a pair of Poker cuff links (think silver cuffs showing a fullhouse). It basically is who I am as a person since it pays for everything I own. Please also keep in mind that about 45% of all my dress shirts are french cuffed shirts. Would it be that horrible if I wore them sometimes during my internship or should I just stick to the generic little ball cuffs that come with the shirt. Thanks in advance.

First of all, are you fucking kidding me with that name?

And to address your question, NO. No. Absolutely not. Poker cuff links are not ok as an intern or pretty much as an anything.

Unless you routinely incorporate pieces from Spencer's Gifts into your day-to-day wardrobe, no cuff links.

I suggest sticking with barrel-cuffed shirts, but some may disagree with me.

Also, keep in mind, no one at this BB gives 2 shits about who you are or what defines you. Unless your internship is painting the mural in the lobby of the BB's offices, you weren't hired because of your self-expression. Keep it to yourself.

On a lighter note, congrats on the internship. I also would not wear poker cuff links or any type of cuff links. Rule of conservatism, especially if you're only an intern.

Holy shit, poker cuff links at a BB?

You would make a name for yourself by the end of your first day, and it wouldn't be a good one. Keep it simple and conservative. You do not want to draw attention to yourself. Do work hard and don't stick out.

Hope you know what you're getting into.

Great thread. Wear the cuff links, and get back to us on the compliments you receive. And the ridiculous amount of pussy that gets thrown your way. Tool.
