Skills Required for First Year Boutique IB Internship

What skills would I need before my first boutique IB summer internship? At the Summer Analyst level, what do normal firms ask you to do on a daily basis? I understand that this is a very general question, but any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Excel, PPT: you need to know these well. Not an expert but enough where you can use any intermediate function and format them every possible way. (Maybe take a free only course, than use Excel and PPT for everything you can)

Cap IQ and other relevant sites: you need to know the basics so that you can learn how to actually master it on the fly. (Not hard)

Basic FIN/ACC/ECON: enough where you can understand how everything links

Everything else you will learn effortlessly from doing projects. Plus likely none of the projects will be anything you didn’t do before college.

You may be aligning logos, creating slides, maybe a little excel.

But the main thing is you need to know enough about those things to ask good questions
