So, Is it Real or they are just trying to be nice?
At the end of each interview, the interviewer would usually say "you got my contact info, feel free to contact me if you have any question about an IB career, about our firm, etc..."
Is it true? I am sure if you do get the offer, you will be in contact with them in the future. but what if you don't? would did be insane to contact someone at a firm which rejected you?
Thanks.
Most people pretty much say we'll be in touch, feel free to reach out to me, etc... Usually a courtesy type thing so I wouldn't put much weight on what they say regarding whether you got the job.
However, you definitely can reach out to them and give a thank you and building a network with them. This can help you later down the line if you don't get the offer but do decide to reapply.
Never hurts to keep in contact even if they reject you. If you managed to have a good connection with that person, they could potentially put in a good word for you somewhere down the road. They may very well have voted to hire you were overruled...
