Spring Internship (PE or IB)
Hi all, I was curious if you could offer some help. I am a junior and next summer I am working in WM at a BB. However, my end goal is repe and was hoping to get into IB REGL (to start) but failed to do so for this summer. I have been networking a ton for a spring internship and got two offers. One is at a small IB firm near my school that does healthcare M&A and the other is a mm PE firm (5bn aum). What job would make me more competitive for full-time recruiting? Would the PE internship bee applicable for IB recruiting?
Cheers,
Yes, PE internship is good for IB recruiting. I would take the PE offer and try to defer the Helathcare M&A offer to summer or next fall if you can.
Ur everywhere, permanent intern
It's slow today.
PE for sure- you'll make great connections here that'll set you up for buyside later (if you'd like). There's way more spots for interns at banks than there are at PEs
