Spring Week Confusion

Hi all, I've just graduated from high school and am awaiting university. Spring week applications will open very soon (and I think one has already opened). I've heard that its important to apply early to have a better chance in getting a SW offer. Do I even apply before university starts? If I wait until university, won't it be a little late to apply? But what do I even put in my CV/resume if I plan to apply before university starts? What should I put in my education if submitting my resume before university starts? When do y'all think is the best time to apply, please help me, I'm so confused

Hey there you eager junior banker!

If you do a 3-year bachelor's degree, you apply during the first semester of your first year at university.

If you do a 4-year bachelor's degree, you apply during the first semester of your second year at university.

Assuming you're going to university in England, start preparing your CV now and keep an eye on the career websites of those BB/EBs that offer spring weeks (GS, JPM, MS, PWP, etc). Once they open send your CV and Cover Letter.

As to what you should include in your CV:

- Education: include the name of your university, name of programme, start date (september 2022) and graduation date. You can add next to it [Expected]

- Work experience: if you have done any work experience, even if it was just a one-week thing, include it here. Otherwise do not stress about this

- Extracurricular activities: include any clubs/associations/societies you've been a part of at school.

- Skills, activities & interests: include any languages you may speak (besides English of course), technical skills such as programming, excel, word, etc and also add any interesting interests (sorry for the redundancy) you may have! I have seen people talk about marathons they've taken part in, etc.

Best of luck!

Thanks a lot for the response, I appreciate it! (I'm going to study in England btw). It looks like end-Septmeber is the best time to apply.
