Struggling to find housing for NYC internship
They give us a $2500 sign-on bonus for relocation costs. Yet the housing resources given to us are all 3-5k a month, even more. I am a pretty broke college student who definitely can't afford that. Am I just being unrealistic thinking I can live in NYC for 10 weeks paying $2500? What are my cheapest options?
Try FIT Kaufman Hall - around 2k a month for a shared dorm like apartment. 406 W 31st.
Uptown is pretty easy but you need to pick your spots well.
West/central/"South harlem" 110th -125th "resturant row" is pretty affordable. And you can get to midtown in 20 min. But you would have to sublease.
