Study/take GMAT and Series 7 at the same time?

I'm graduating undergrad in Spring 2016. I'm currently interning at a regional MM in IB. I was planning on studying for the GMAT this summer and taking it. I had planned on studying for 2-3 months.

Should I also study/take the Series 7 this summer? Most of all, with me personally, given my school and background, I feel like it would be something good to add to my story recruiting for FT. I have to take it eventually anyway. I think my internship would let me study 2-3 hours a day while working for the Series 7 - the GMAT I'm not so sure.

Might this be a good idea? Should I ask my boss if I could get sponsored to take the Series 7? I have a good amount of free time at work so I think it could work out well.
