Summer Analyst Program Question
I am finishing up my MBA from a non target school in this spring and wanted to know if it would be a good idea to apply to any Summer Analyst type programs. Do these transition to a full time position immediately following in certain cases? If not would it still be a good idea to go for one of these programs then just hope for the best somewhere else following?
Thanks in advance.
Summer Analyst is for undegrads, usually after junior year. Most firms have recruiting software that will filter out applications that don't fit the requirement (ie, graduate undergrad in 2020) so that would be a waste to apply to most of those.
For MBA the equivalent job is Summer Associate, but again, usually for the summer in between your two MBA years.
You're better off applying only to full time positions - potentially starting as an analyst depending on your experience/education, although post-MBA is usually an associate start. Start networking as well, applying online can be a bit of a black hole
