Summer Asso offer at BB -> EB

At a top MBA program. Just accepted a BB Summer Associate offer (GS/MS/JPM) in the M&A group and want to start thinking ahead about full-time recruiting.

I have a preference for a few EB firms for several reasons, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to position myself for a potential pivot. If you were in my position, what would your January–summer timeline look like to break into an EB for FT?

I’ve had a couple of coffee chats with people at EBs but didn’t get a superday, and there are some firms I never connected with at all. How would you go about it from here? Any tactical advice would help.
