that's really generous! The better shops will all offer 50K signing, the lesser ones will come in at 40K, hardly anybody will offer less - if anybody tops that it means there's more competition out there

40K? That blows. I would think FT is around 60/65 plus 5/10 signing bonus, especially if its S&T or IBD. Well, at least last year it was. Where are you getting 40k?
I think he means 40k signing bonus for Associates as opposed to Analysts.

i've heard 105k as base, up from 95k
Standard base salary this summer for pro-rata purposes was $100k base, not $95k
