tmt can be sweaty but depends on who you are. group has a lot of nepotism interns turned analysts so workflow isn't evenly distributed. fig also can be sweaty but vertical dependent. fintech is terrible (more flexible with wfh) but worse quality associates than banks/insurance.

any stories?

Nothing specific but the usual 4-5am late nights when on live deals (spoiler alert, we hardly pitch so always on a live deal), barely any associates, (3 as of this comment plus one new hire) so most of the work falls on the analyst and very few experienced analysts who are getting consistently crushed. 

This group used to pay lights out - think total AN 1 comp of >200k pre-2020 (without buckets) in Houston but as a result of some corporate policy changes the pay has come down to be in line with the NYC JEF pay scale but the work hasn't reduced.
