Switching from Actuarial to IB

Hi,

I am doing a BSci in Statistics and another in Actuarial Sciences (the other one allows me to become an accredited Associate Actuary). I haven't done any finance courses but of course I understand finance to the extent that an actuary would be educated. I am hoping to do an Honours (like a Masters degree but research-focused) in Actuarial Studies but I ultimately want to do IB when I graduate anyways. I've gone to networking events with investment bankers and every single one of them did accounting and finance in university so I was wondering if I'm at a disadvantage? I am planning on taking WSO's courses to train myself and I've interviewed with JP Morgan, BofA and Goldman Sachs for internships and have been able to answer their questions to a reasonable quality. Should I stick with actuarial? I enjoy having a very mathematical/technical background especially since I've done a lot of pure maths and CS which I feel like gives me an edge.

Thanks for any advice on whether I should switch the direction of my studies. I'm assuming I can learn most things online whereas a lot of actuarial and mathematics concepts I study are difficult and technical and I enjoy learning that through a university environment.
