Switching from Buy-Side FI Research to RX Advisory

I recently accepted an offer at a boutique asset management firm (~$500B) within their high-yield and leveraged loans group for next summer. Moving forward (full-time), I am interested in transitioning to either RX advisory or private credit roles (mezz funds, hybrid-value, stressed/distressed lending, etc.).

How easy/difficult would it be to make this move? For those who have done so, are there any lessons that you learned along the way that you would be willing to share?

Thank you in advance.
