Taking a Few Days Off As Summer Analyst

Long story short I have a very very important family event to attend next summer which also happens to be during the time of my summer gig. I am willing to work remote but have to be home for a few days and can’t go into the office which is out of state for me.

My team culture is really good, still worried on how to approach it. Not going on a vacation or anything, but it’s something very important in our culture. Do SAs get any PTO in general? If so, how common is it to use.

I am willing to grind to the bone all other days if I could just be gone for those others. I just need to have a strategy of communicating it well. Should I hold off on it and bring it up closer to the start date?

Would be gone for 2 weekdays and Saturday/Sunday (bank follows protected Saturdays well from what I hear) and this would be during the middle. Trying to comeback Sunday night.
