not that good tbh, citi tech is not one of the top dogs in the space so deal flow is lacking. very lean team on the east coast. lots of VC / GE / CorpDev as you said, but not really at your sequoias or a16z's. a few go to MM PE.
I feel like if you get an interview, it’s up to the candidate more so than the bank they came from
you're 100% correct, and i'm sure you'll get put in front of every fund if you impress the headhunters. i'm not in tech, but word is that transaction experience is really lacking, especially in M&A.
