The Only Way to Break Into BB/EB

BB: Be diverse and enter a summer analyst diversity program, learn the $10 depreciation question, have a fake sophomore internship at your Uncle’s PE fund.

EB: Top gpa, top target, know more accounting than KKR VP’s, mental math is your hobby, president of your school’s hardo finance club.

There are definitely “stereotypes” like that, but plenty of people break into BB/EB without fitting those exact molds. Good GPA, solid internships, and networking go a long way regardless. The biggest difference is just how competitive it is, not that there’s only one path.
