Interviewed with them last week. Really casual, why ibanking, why TWP, etc.... Be sure to emphasize on "boutique" type environment. Other than that, pretty standard.
Was this over the phone, and did you get passed on to final round?
Nope, it was an on campus interview. Fortunately, got through the 1st round and have a super-day next week with them.

why would the boutique envuironment appeal to you?
I read TW's 10-K before I interviewed with them. Apparently the company has struggled lately and paid very small bonuses to all of the execs. I'd fear for my compensation package if I were to work for TW.
Questions were mostly fit when I went through the process.
How was the final round interview? Technical questions?

yes, i had a 1st round phone iterview with them last week and have a followup 2nd round phone interview.. tomorrow.

I know this isn't the best bank on the street. But anybody have information regarding interviews there? Fit/Technicals? Culture of the firm? Any help would be great.
Your first interview should be primarily fit-based.
I heard that TWP made an acquisiton/investment into an adjacent business that turned out to be disastrous and placed the firm in the state it is/was in circa 2008. I believe plenty of analysts jumped ship (at least in SF) to other shops and they lost senior people as well..

I have been invited to Thomas Weisel's Superday this Thursday and I was hoping to get some details on what I can expect in my interviews. Any input would be highly appreciated. I had 2 rounds of phone interviews that went really well and then I was invited to San Francisco for Superday. Probably standard/fit technical interviews, I don't think they will ask a case or brainteasers. Definitely know why TWP and some of the recent transactions they've done. Also, if you can mention that you talked to X person there beforehand or know of X person, than you can show that you're quite familiar with the firm.
I think they have a severe case of BB envy so I would focus on the fit portion if you're in a time crunch. I didn't care much for them in first rounds and they could probably tell so just have a shitload of enthusiasm for them and you'll be fine.

Are you interested in the technology sector?
I am interested in their Technology group as well as their Resources group. I have spoken with several people in the company and while their largest current strength is in Technology, their Resources group has seen high deal volume and is expanding quickly. Those would be my top two focus areas, but I am really open to any group that I can get a lot of deal exposure, learn quickly, and get heavily involved shortly after my training ends.
they have a sweet office (as in great views and physical setup) in SF
it really is just technical/fit, why TWP/smaller firm, why tech (or whatever group you pref), etc etc.
honestly, it's a typical final round... know the basic technicals that you see on every prep guide and you'll be fine.. not too many curve balls.
