Thoughts on accepting internship at a different bank on the same team?

Hi everyone,

Junior here offered an SA 2027 at a competing (but bigger) bank , after completing an off cycle 2026 at another bank on the same team.

My question might be “weird”, but would it hurt my reputation in the space if I join the new bank? I built really strong relationships with my old team but I was not given a return for the summer ( so would have to go through the interview process again).

My options would be :
1. sign the SA 2027 offer at the new bank, since my prev team will begin interviewing next month (and there’s a slight chance I don’t get the offer)
2. Don’t sign, go through more processes and risk possibly not getting an offer at all

( I know Option 2 is probably not the best idea, but just wanted some input on what the best course of action would be in my position)
