Thoughts on Commenting on Linkedin - at top target

Is commenting on friends internship announcements on LinkedIn considered a red flag or annoying during recruiting? Been seeing it more often wondering if it’s viewed as supportive networking or if it risks flooding people’s feeds and looking tryhard

Could it actually backfire and make professionals or recruiters less likely to connect if your activity comes off as excessive or performative? Curious where the line is between being engaged vs being too visible without substance. (goin into recruiting szn)

Short answer - use common sense. If your close buddy or a mentor/mentee posts a job announcement, nothing wrong with a quick "Congrats!" here and there. If every other post I see in the feed has a comment from the same person - yeah it looks pretty cringey (no shit).
