Thoughts on (Non-EB) Larger Boutiques
Not much information on here about some of the larger boutiques which aren't generally lumped into the EB's. Some have a strong industry-specific lean. These are the firms I think of falling in this category:
Needham & Co. FT Partners Gleacher & Co. Roth Capital Partners H.C Wainwright JMP Securities Sagent Advisors Marathon Capital AGC Partners

Sagent is legit, they send guys to decent firms.
FT Partners has people heading to solid GE shops and tech PE.
Gleacher used to be solid ... but it's dead. It doesn't exist anymore. http://www.gleacher.com/ourfirm/Pages/default.aspx</a">See here.
AGC is terrible- everyone there wants to kill themselves. str8 from the mouth of an analyst alum
