Thoughts on PE internship prior to banking
Hey all,
I just wanted to hear everyone’s experiences and if those of you who had PE internships prior to fulltime banking felt that it provided some valuable insight to the PE landscape and the buyside lens(that is if it’s more than just sourcing/cold-calling)
I have my fulltime gig locked down and am considering taking a part-time PE gig to learn a little more about the buyside perspective. Also exposure to other industries will be good as all of my exposure in internships and in fulltime has and will be in tech.
Any thought would be helpful!
Don’t see the downside if it doesn’t break any rules with your current employer. More experience is usually a good thing plus some extra cash. Just double check your contract IMO.
