Piper seems like an alright team. They got some FDIC mandates in the past. Greenhill RX has much less deal flow than they used to but sounds like a fucking awesome place to work from my networking experience

Greenhill not doing much these days is very true. Pretty much the only time they’re on anything is if Charlesbank hires them. Group head is awful to work for. Saying all that, still better than Piper. The FDIC deals (SVB) were only because every other shop was conflicted out by representing SVB (CVP) or lenders (HL, PJT, etc.) and the legacy government experience there from the Puerto Rico Rx that the team did while at Rothschild. Only other time they’re getting hired is by some UCC that Ducera or HL won’t take because they don’t want to piss clients off or some minority lender group that got screwed or is super out of the money. Funny enough both groups are run by ex Rothschild people, Greenhill by Augustine who got fired for being too much of a dick and Todd Snyder who thought he was hot shit after Puerto Rico and founded TRS.
