First rounds for Ivies and super target are definitely starting already. But I agree for non targets you still got time. Banks hiring process is slow af compared to other industries so you always have time. Back when I applied for intership I got a call like 4 months after I applied I was completely unprepared.

Never really understood the broad generalization of "Non-target." If you go to a school like Rice, UT, or Carnegie Mellon then, technically speaking, you go to a non-target. However, these are incredible schools and if you have a high GPA then you are in fantastic shape. Those schools are a lot different than a "non-target" like Farfield or Elon. Go to a non-target like that and your chances are on life support no matter what your GPA is.

Saw you only networked with analysts. It's not time to panic but analysts can only do so much. VPs can get you into the interview. I'm at a nontarget too and so far the only interviews I've landed were at banks where I networked with VPs as well as analysts.

when you "network" with an analyst, you should ask to be referred to their VP...and then you ask the VP for career advice (analysts haven't been there long enough to help you)...and after the VP gives you career advice, regurgitate it back with your spin, and THEN say that the VP has really inspired you, and then ask the VP for a chance to interview.

just google it...you're welcome
