Too late to be hired for full-time position in 2020?

Just looking to get a realistic idea if its reasonable to get hired as an analyst starting this summer/fall at this point in the hiring cycle. I had a couple interviews last fall, but just got rejections. It seems there are so few applications left out there at this point. I am in the final semester of my masters in finance program, and I wonder at what point I should start looking at other areas of finance, so that I at least have a job lined up coming out of grad school.

Is it normal for banks to begin looking for analysts in the spring? Have you heard of people getting interviews for full-time analyst positions in March-May? Thanks in advance.
