Too late to find a freshman summer internship?

I'm currently a non-div freshman at a target school planning on recruiting next year. I have a good gpa and a lot of club involvement but don't have anything lined up for this summer (I live in nyc). I was wondering how realistic it is to get a something this late (haven't started any networking/cold emailing), where would be the best place to look, and how much it matters for recruiting instead of me just working a job at a tutoring center.
