Top UK / EU Cities to Live/Work Because the US is a shitshow
Given everything going on in the US from storming the capitol, to finishing prayers with 'Amen and Awoman', these people are absolute morons. With that being said, I am hoping to move to the UK or some other place post-grad (still have 3 years left so not super soon) like London, Dublin, or Paris, but honestly don't know too much about any of them. Can anyone give any insight into the work and lifestyle at those places or any other suggestions for where to look? Want to do IB but honestly willing to do anything else in finance.
Well for starters, how many languages are you perfectly fluent in? That should narrow down your options quite a bit
Very true, I would say I'm fluent in French and feel comfortable enough to where I could use only French if necessary. Elementary level in Spanish, but not much after the basics and that's it. I do have three years left of college where I think I could take enough classes to get me up to speed or at least to a level where I could get by.
Languages like that are valuable in London. Also, the culture shock wouldn't be as bad in comparison to moving to some other countries. Strong finance scene as well.
That being said, this sounds like a bad reason to leave the country.
London for a fun, "big-city" lifestyle and probably your best bet to do IB/PE if you can't speak a Euro language like a native speaker.
Zurich for money, having a family, nature and a not-as-fast-paced lifestyle. Not the most thrilling place to spend your 20s but not bad either. IB possible if you can speak German. Sometimes French/Italian can be enough but quite rare/niche tbh. Won't find a better tax/pension system but not always that easy as a foreigner.
Coming to Europe for political stability is ironic. Singapore is your best bet lol.
