Torn between 2 sophomore summer offers

Would like some advice on which internship I should accept for this upcoming summer (post sophomore year.) I plan on recruiting for SA positions next year.

1)Return to the same company I interned at this past summer. It was corp. fin at a house-hold name F500 firm. Roles may be more accounting focused.

2)Another F500 firm that has a slightly less recognized name than #1. However, I know for *sure* that I will get a better finance experience here. Don't know if this matters, but this firm is one of the leaders in the industry group that I'd like to work in for IBD.

Which one should I choose? Return to a "better known" firm and show commitment, or diversify my work experience by interning at different firms?

You pretty much laid it out in your post, but I'll echo above that diverse experience that you know is "better" will definitely help if you're going into banking. To me, two names on a resume is usually better than one, even if the prior has a better brand name.

Also, having the opportunity to work in let's say an Energy F500 firm will definitely set you apart from other candidates gunning for a spot in that coverage group in the bank.
