What is the reputation of National Bank Financial in Canada? Exit opps from their investment bank?
Seems like they have been recruiting top people rather aggressively as of late.
Would argue that historically have been well below places like GMP and Genuity historically for anything advisory related (co-bookrunners on financings but never lead anything substantial). You are right though - they are climbing the ranks largely due to the recruiting of late (most of their hires came from Genuity, which, from what I understand, is falling apart at the seams)
Anyone else? I thought their financing teams were quite good. (aka. bump)

whats NBF lol... Very small player in the business... Most of the business gets conducted through the montreal office. You're better off with UBS I believe!

It is kinda late for them to be recruiting but they are a relatively small Canadian firm.
