Total Compensation at PWP/EVR/Moelis?
WSO Community,
what is the average total Compensation (Base + Bonus) at companies like PWP/EVR/Moelis? Don't account for COVID-19 since, by the time I join, everything will be back to normal (~2022).
Sincerely,

For a first year analyst? Probably a bit shy of $200k
EVR is 95 base / 85 bonus for 1st year analysts. Their signing bonus for returning summers was 35k to sign by a specific date, which is absolutely fucking absurd.
Is that bonus for top-bucket analysts, so average is lower?
Evercore doesn't really bucket. Bonuses are generally within 5-10k of each other.
so you are saying, if I intern at Evercore and sign my return offer, I will make 95+35+85 = 215k as a first year analyst?
EVR pays exceedingly well. I think Moelis has a much wider range with top bucket hitting 200k but with the bottom bucket being closer to 120k.
So basically, if I get an Evercore interview, I need to treat it like my life's dependant on it?!
Is this for m&a or rx?
120k all in? that is fucking awful
Yes
The $35K fulltime analyst signing bonus is only if you qualify for the "diversity scholarship". The normal singing bonus for the rest of us plebs is $22.5K-$25K depending on if you summered at the firm or not.
Well, I think I could live with the fact that I get "only" 22.5k as the signing bonus.
Wow so now they're discriminating against non-minorities with pay? That's some utter BS.
Those who went through FT recruiting and signed offers but didn't intern at Evercore as SA's got 20k signing bonus this year
90k extra for associates. An extra $90k as a reward for having a far, far easier time getting into the school and recruiting
not sure how it’s even legal
Yeah I have a friend who was there and got 95k base and a 95k bonus plus his sign on which is insane
Something tells me the EVR M&A guys aren't gonna be getting 95k bonuses this year
the rx guys on the other hand...
this didn't age well lol
.
.
Do you know how this changes for regional offices? And I'm assuming this doesn't include signing bonuses?
Analyst in a non-NYC/LA office and can confirm top bucket AN1 last year was right about $200k
Yes, not including signing. General bonus range between 70%-120% of base depending on performance.
Maybe worry about getting an SA spot or at least an interview at any of those places before you start planning on how you’re going to spend that money.
Is it hard to get an interview at any of these places?
Haha 1/10 troll attempt
Not at all. Don’t worry about networking either. Under the “anything else you’d like to tell us” part of the application just write “Ligma” and you’re guaranteed an interview. Source: survey of all HR personnel at the above mentioned firms - 87% of them revealed this strategy as the primary catalyst to landing an interview.
Any info on Moelis Asso?
ive heard 350 all in from a reputable source for top bucket
That's amazing - well done. And like the user above mentioned, any info on other EBs for the associate level would be greatly appreciated as well
PJT about the same: around 350 average total comp As1
Anybody have info on PWP?
interested as well

Deleted.
What’s the salary progression? Can only seem to find 1st year numbers.
Anyone have info RE: PJT Park Hill?
Thanks
