Trading SA Pivot to FT IB

I did a sophomore S&T internship at a BB in NYC in 2024 and received a return offer for this summer’s junior internship at the same firm. Honestly, I don’t know why, but I haven’t liked the trading desks I’ve been placed on—FX Risk last year and now Munis. I come from a target school and want to pivot into IB at either my current BB or another one after this summer’s internship. Any tips on networking or the best path to make the switch?
