Transfer twice from CC?

I'm currently a freshmen at community college and I was wondering if it was viable to transfer twice. I was thinking CC->State school-> semi-target/target. I've heard it's a lot harder to get internships if I stay at CC so I was thinking of transferring after one year. The issue is I did horrible in high school so I would need time to build up my application. Transferring to a state school after my first year and then looking at a semi-target/target for junior year would be the plan. I don't think I would be competitive after 1 year of CC for semi-targets/targets so I was thinking 2 transfers. The other option I'm thinking of is just staying at CC for 2 years and applying to semi-targets/targets but I've heard this makes recruiting much harder/ and I would probably have to push graduation back. What would you guys recommend? I'm guessing the 2 year CC path, but is there anything wrong with transferring twice?

im a transfer but take my thoughts w a grain of salt.

your best bet is getting regional boutique internships while at cc, transferring into semi/target ur soph year and then recruiting regular on cycle. reality is that's pretty tough. more likely, you get regional boutique internships while at cc, transfer in as a junior, and have to delay grad to recruit. putting urself back as a soph. you will have a lot of time to prep and build ur network.

It seems like im going to have to delay graduation, do you know if transferring twice (once to state school and then semi-target/target) would be something worth considering/possible? Regardless, thank you for your input, especially as a transfer.

Ngl i see ZERO value in doing a double transfer. you're better off sticking around ur cc, getting good ECs / Rec letters from profs at ur school, and using ur support system at home the best you can (i.e. laundry/food/etc) so u can dedicate more time on getting offcycle internships and networking / prep. the whole process of applying to a state school, moving in, developing new relationships, all to transfer again sounds terrible imo

Although I wasn’t at CC, I transferred from a non target to a top 25 semi target (Vandy, WashU, Emory). It doesn’t hurt to apply. I’d say go for it and apply to semi targets and targets. All you lose is some time and application fees. If you don’t get in anywhere good, apply to transfer again sophomore year.
