trying to figure interest income and expense for this company but nothing adds up...

Hi guys, monkey trying to practice modeling here... Working on Dynatrace.

Was taught to separate Interest income from interest expense (not give net) in income statement (for projections)

NET Interest income is 37mm, but interest income from Cash & Equivalents was only 8.7mm... Where on earth is the other interest income and where do i find it lol.

PLease advise

Interest Income (Expense), Net

Interest income, net, was $37.3 million for the year ended March 31, 2024, compared to an expense of $3.4 million for the year ended March 31, 2023. The change was primarily the result of higher interest rates on our cash, cash equivalents, and investments coupled with lower interest expense due to the repayment of outstanding debt in fiscal year 2023.

The Company recorded interest income from its cash, cash equivalents, and investments of $8.7 million, $11.1 million, $0.2 million for the years ended March 31, 2024,

2023, and 2022, respectively.

Interest expense

For the years ended March 31, 2024, 2023, and 2022, the Company recognized S.4 million, $8.6 million, and $10.4 million in interest expense and amortization of debt issuance costs and original issuance discount, respectively.

No, the passage says: The Company recorded interest income from its cash, cash equivalents, and investments of $38.7 million, $11.1 million, $0.2 million for the years ended March 31, 2024, 2023, and 2022, respectively.

And the other passage says: For the years ended March 31, 2024, 2023, and 2022, the Company recognized $1.4 million, $8.6 million, and $10.4 million in interest expense and amortization of debt issuance costs and original issuance discount, respectively.

Maybe read it from the actual report rather than wherever you got this from...
