Got an offer for UBS Global Banking in London for next summer. I’ve seen quite a bit of negative commentary on here about UBS’s deal flow, etc and wondering how much of that is US-focused vs applicable to the UK/European business.
From interviews/past experience I came away with a very positive impression of the firm but now I'm kind of worried.

If that's your only offer just accept it. If you have time and can get another role easily, weigh the risk of that. If you get to UBS, give it a try for a year, decide if IB in general is something you'd like to pursue, then re-recruit with a good legacy brand to your name.

Is that for summer internship? Crazy that offers are out already. If I were you I would try to leverage it to get something better but I also understand if you just want to chill and enjoy life. In any case it is quite easy to lateral to GS/JPM after 12 months if you feel it is not the right place
