OP, are banks sponsoring SAs for non-residents in their London offices?
Yep, they do. Half of my SA cohort is non resident
At least for EU citizens, it's not a problem at all really.
5/6 in of our interns (US BB) are non-UK residents

Bank i am interning at is just delaying starts for those affected.
William Blair has withdrawn an off cycle offer due to visa issue
Jesus, is this confirmed?
Didn't even know that they sponsored visas in London, maybe it wasn't an issue of a delayed visa but maybe a declined visa application or someone said they won't need visa sponsorship but they do
Well, before brexit, europeans didn’t need a visa so it wasn’t an issue. They now need one but it’s quite easy to get. The delays are due to the Ukrainian war as the UK gov is giving priority visas…
when did you submit the application and how long have you been waiting for? I was told it’s been extended from 2 weeks to 6 weeks but no idea if I will actually receive it before then…
It’s super random.. Some of my friends got it in 4 working days, some others after 7 weeks. I just received mine yesterday and I’m starting on Monday. It took me 3 weeks
Wouldn't worry about internship cancellation, if covid wasn't enough to cancel them in June 2020 then this shouldn't either especially if most banks are experiencing these issues.
Application on the 20th of May, received it today

Did you get an email when they approved your visa and a tracking number?
My visa consultant received a confirmation email, and i was able to get a Share Code afterwards. I don’t think there is a tracking number tho
.
Can you give me an update once u receive it? Submitted mine around the same time and still waiting..
