Union Square Advisors opinions and open position

Just applied to their analyst role (December grad at a target, haven’t found a FT IB job after not interning in IB last summer). Wondering why they’re recruiting right now - looks like their analyst classes are pretty small and based on Linkedin i think one or two analysts just left so wondering why that happened and if it’s a bad sign. I sent in my app and a few cold emails so hopefully get to talk to someone soon but basically just wondering what’s going on there right now with the open position and what it’s like working there.

very unprofessional firm. incoming analyst at an EB (PJT, EVR, CVP) and had a terrible experience with them when recruiting for SA. went through all rounds and was ghosted after promptly providing availabilities in response to the superday invitation. essentially, made it to the super, then got ghosted with no explanation even after emailing all previous contacts at the firm.

additionally, probably not a good look if they are hiring right now for FT. maybe try and get in contact with the analysts who recently left who will give you a candid opinion on why they left.
